AUTUMN IN RALEIGH
The mild temperatures and gorgeous fall scenery comes a bit later to the Southeast than it does to the Midwest.
Even now in mid-November, the leaves are quite showy and the temps are still nice.  Below are some pictures of
my yard as I try to work on the landscaping at my new house and also some tree pictures I took near work.

The weather was warm and very nice
for the ghosts and goblins.  Had a
steady stream of them for at least two
hours in the evening.

It was my first Halloween in this
house.  On Halloween Day of last year,
I pulled out of my Illinois home in the
car with the dogs for the long trip
down to Raleigh.

The potted flowers are a one-year
anniversary gift from realtor John.
This year went by quickly.

I keep adding more things to my front
yard garden.   It takes a lot of time (and
money) to get as many flowers as I
had in my Illinois yard.

Since these pictures, I have put mulch
and edging around the mums and
planted some spring bulbs near the
mums as well as around the small
front yard tree.

Mums on the other side
of the driveway.

Below is the little tree the
builders planted.  It has
pretty red leaves in the
fall.  There are big older
trees in the back yard.

home from church.

Above picture was taken
driving down the road in the
office park where I work.  The
rest of the pictures were
taken in the parking lot at
work.  Aren't the trees just
gorgeous?
