Carwyn Lil' Mischievous Angel
CH Shalee Class Action
x CH Tawny Mist
Carwyn Secret Recipe
born June 8, 2003

Owned by Mildred Carlstrom of Pearl City, HI.

For her first eleven months, Angie lived with breeder
Carol Dunster in the state of Washington.  Carol was kind
enough to help Millie work through the strict Hawaiian
regulations so that Angie did not have to stay in quarantine.
Angie finally went home to Hawaii on May 14 2004.

Top left is Angie as a puppy, top right she is checking out
one of Mom's teddy bears.  On the middle left she is at
church with  Mom and is being cuddled by a little girl.
Bottom left is Angie givin brother Aussie a kiss.

Millie obtained her first Silky from Australia in 1969,
then started showing Silkies in 1970.
Since then she has been owned by a number
of beautiful talented champions.

Millie's picture is on the STCA 2004 Specialty Pictures page.

AUST. CH. BALKANA HOT AFFAIR (Shay)

Owned by Mildred Carlstrom of Pearl City, HI.

Aussie's Silky mom Shay is a member of
Christine Magson's family.  He was the smallest
of the litter.   When Mommie Millie and Daddy
Bill Carlstrom saw the puppy pictures, they
thought Aussie was the cutest one and they
wanted him.   He made the long trip from
Australia to Hawaii on the same plane with
Uncle Stephen Callaghan in April of 2005.

Top Left picture is puppy Aussie with brothers
and sisters; he is the one on the right.  Below
is Silky Mom Shay with one of Aussie's sisters.

FriantsandRifes Tag Along Joe
CH Friant's Red Phoenix
x CH Friant's Indy Anna
Born June 2, 2000

Owned by Kurt and Sherry Rife
of New Market, IA

Joey has won six points, however he has been a
bit shy in the show rings.  Sherry continued to
work with him.  In the top picture he is just
being his cute little self.  In the bottom picture,
he is standing on a "Happy Legs"
which teaches dogs how to stand and stack.

Joey regularly participated in Pet Therapy.
He visited nursing homes and enjoyed the
attention while sitting on the residents' laps.

Mommy Sherry is quite involved in
community activities with all her furchildren.
Joey helped with the school demos.  He liveded
with Sherry in Iowa for six years.

Joey is my Anna's son.
Picture of human parents Sherry and Kurt
is on my Friends page.

Postscript:
After his mom Anna died in May 2006,
Joey came to live with me so
Misty could have a companion.
CH Friant-Gray's Blue Mischief, CGC, CD
CH Friants-and-Snows Shoe
x Friant's Big Trouble
born Feb. 16, 1996

Owned by Kurt and Sherry Rife
of New Market, IA

Missy was a retired champion of almost
five years of age when she went to live
with Sherry.  At that point she started her
obedience career.  She has earned her
Canine Good Citizen Award and
Companion Dog title with Sherry
and is now working toward a
Rally Obedience title in 2005.

Missy also helps Mommy Sherry with the
Pet Therapy program and partipates in
school and obedience class demos.

In the top photo Missy is showing her
colors as an all-American girl and in
the bottom picture, she has just had a
bath to get ready for an obedience demo.
She does a good job of showing what
an obedient dog should do.

The Rifes raise and show both Silkies
and Weimaraners and now a
German Wirehaired Pointer.
Missy and my Misty are half sisters;
they have the same father.
Many of us in the Silky world have become acquainted with
Mark Robitaille of Juneau, Alaska and his Alaska dogpak.
Mark travels the country with his ten dogs in his RV.

Read about the Alaska dogpak and especially about Bud the
fearless Silky who saved Mark's life.  Bud gave his life to save
Mark from a bear on an Alaskan mountainside
after Mark skidded off the road in a terrible snow storm.

Tissues definitely needed but Bud's story is an
inspiration and a testament to this wonderful breed.

Note:  You may want to use your "Esc" key at the top left
hand corner of your keyboard to silence the music on this
page since Mark's pages also have music.

Blackrange  Shalee Maxwell Dean
Ch Shalee Tawny Mist Royal Silk
x Ch Shalee's Fortune Teller
June 21, 2002

Human parents are Rita Dean and hubby
in Northern Texas

A typical Silky, Maxwell has lots and
lots of energy and is full of playful
mischief.  He loves to chase his bigger
and older canine brother Buddy
(bottom row, far left), also loves to bark
non-stop, especially when he has to alert
Mommy about the mailman arriving.
Like a good Silky, he is aggressively
protecting his turf.

In the top picture, he is sitting in the
flowers; he might try to eat them if
Mommy doesn't watch.  Going down,
in the picture on the far left, he is doing
good immitation of looking angelic
along with his Yorkie cousin Toby.

In the middle row near picture, he is still
practicing looking innocent after
tracking in the snowy mud.  Bottom
row far left maybe Buddy is just a little
jealous because after all, it was his home
first.  Bottom row near left is Maxwell
with Mommy in her Red Hat Club attire.

Maxwell runs around his house
attacking Mommy's plants and
whatever else he can find.
However he is a much-loved little cutie.
