We used to have a lady that came to our house in a van. When she came to our door to take us out, we always ran Because she gave us baths and cut our hair and our toes And waved that hot thing on our hair to add to our woes. Her name is Tracy and our Mommy really likes her a lot, But she fell off a ladder and other ladies came so we forgot. Those other ladies drove her vans but they were so hollow, Not nearly as nice as Tracy who was a hard act to follow. Then that other lady who came out to our house the most Quit her job, so Mommy thought maybe if she bought a host Of grooming things, she would try to do the job on us herself. But soon we began to look so pitiful, like a ragged little elf. Mommy called and talked to Tracy about us the other day; She has more ladies and a shop at home she began to say. Mommy wanted to see Tracy so this morning she told us “We will go on a field trip in Mommy’s car not in a bus.” Mommy drove to a place called Plainfield where Tracy lives. We got lost; Mommy didn’t write down directions Tracy gives. Mommy started driving slow trying to figure things out. People were honking their horns at us; what’s this about? We finally arrived there; Mommy parked; Tracy came out to greet. Now we remember her but this is different; will she cut our feet? We stayed at Tracy’s shop while our Mommy left to go shopping. Tracy fixed us so we wouldn’t look like things to use for mopping. Then we got to run around and sniff to check out this new place. Why we are here and where is Tracy’s van; to learn more we pace. Mommy came back as Tracy was putting on the finishing touch; She had made us look beautiful; and we enjoyed our visit much. Then we got back into Mommy’s car for our ride back home. We go to Petsmart and to the vet but this was farther to roam. Now we are very tired from all the excitement and ready to nap At least Mommy knows the way back home without a map. |
