Late May & early June. The early spring flowers have faded and others take their place. |

| Peonies are so beautiful and fragrant. I have the pale pink and the dark pink or fushia variety. As I left for work one morning, I noticed the blooms were just opening (top two pictures), then when I arrived home that evening, they were in full bloom. Notice the aunt on one of the blooms. If you know anything about peonies, you know that the blooms will not open without the presence of aunts. |
Lilacs are one of the most fragrant of the spring flowers. This bush is several years old; 2006 is the first time it has bloomed to this extent; it did not bloom well in 2007 but did bloom profusely in 2008. |

| Dwarf Stella Del Oro Daylilies They start blooming near the end of spring and continue through most of the summer. Could have put these on my Summer Flower page but I was getting too many pictures on that page. I planted a couple of similar lilies that are reddish purple just to break up some of the golden yellow color but the darker ones are not blooming yet. |

| The large orange day lilies below also start blooming in the late spring and continue into the summer. |
