| Mid-May The Yard is All Aglow in Purple |

| At the back of the yard are purple wild flowers growing around a tree near the fence. They were planted there by the former property owner. These were blooming the day we closed on the house. |
Irises blooming in front of the house where the tulips bloomed a few weeks ago. Notice the bright early morning sun in the first two pictures below. The gold stella del oro day lillies are just starting to bloom. The last picture in this group is a different variety that produces smaller blooms. |

A different kind of iris that I bought and planted last fall. They look almost like gladiolus. and yes I know, not all of them are purple; the purple ones all bloomed first, then the others bloomed a few days later. |
