| Walanae Army Beach The military has some excellent beaches that are not open to the general public. |






| Restaurant at Hickam Air Force Base where we had lunch one day. If you look hard you can see planes on the landing strip at Honolulu Airport. |



| Bellows Air Force Beach. Here military families can rent cabins to stay at the beach for a few days. I am wading just so I can say I put my feet in the Pacific Ocean. I don't swim. Note the white sand. |

| Isn't this a gorgeous place to have breakfast? We were joined by two other ladies from church. We had just attended the service at the chapel on Pearl Harbor. |
| Ships have to go through Hickam Channel to get to Pearl Harbor and vice versa. Military families say goodbye to their sailors at Pearl Harbor, then drive around to the channel at Hickam to wave as the men and women go out to sea. |
