I am a Silky Terrier; I came from Crown Point, Indiana, but I left there when I was twelve weeks old.
My Silky mommy and daddy were Cleo and Snows Shoe; they were conformation champions I am told.
I was born on September 2 in 1999; I don’t remember my breeder Cindy Friant and all the other canines,
I can’t recall romping across their property with the hidden garden of hostas, flowers, trees, and vines.

My mommy was sad because her Christi had gone to the Rainbow Bride; she needed a new Silky like me
Then when I went to live in my new home in Bolingbrook, Illinois, I was a just a little afraid you see!
But pretty soon I took over my new job as the boss of my house as I learned to bark and run and play.
I got new blankies and nifty toys and good food and yummy treats and lots of love; I was here to stay.

Sometimes I got into trouble because I like to chew; Mommy’s sofa was the best; I pulled and gnawed!
When Mommy talked to me in that stern way, I fussed back at her, then I ran and hid and guffawed.
I still like to chew when we are on the bed; the big blankie thing called a comforter is so much fun to rip;
Then I can pull the stuffing out and throw it all over the bedroom; wheeeee what a riot and a cool trip!

When Mommy drops something it’s so delightful to grab it and watch her chase me down the hall.
“Hey you threw it on the floor, that means its mine, not yours.”  If it’s paper I can wad it into a ball
Then I’m very good at my job as a paper shredder; I don’t know why Mommy is yelling, must be glee.
I can grab Mommy’s socks when she isn’t looking, she says I’m a mischievous furdevil, “Who me?”

One day on our way back home from a long trip, we stopped at that place I didn’t quite recollect.
Mommy confused me when she said “this is Cleopatra, your Silky mommy.”  Why I think I suspect
All these other little critters must be Silkies too!  Why are we here?  I am afraid and start to tremble.
That lady Mommy called Cindy picked me up; she seemed nice but my fears continued to assemble.

Cindy picked up one of those Silkies called Anna and walked out with us and put Anna in our car;
She went home with us and has been here ever since, does that make her my sister, she came from afar.
Sometimes Anna growls and attacks, but I will show her who’s boss, I run fast, jump high, and soar
Through the air; I am Misty the Super Silkygirl Terror, watch me bounce up the steps, hear me roar!
