| Rozi Visits the USA |
In our Amsterdam office we have a lady named Rozwita who is in charge of European finance and accounting. Rozwita (better known as Rozi) had talked with us on the phone many times and had endeared herself as a part of our group so we were all very happy when she informed us she was coming over for a visit in January 2006. We would finally get to meet this lady who was doing a very good job and was always so cheerful and lively on the phone. I don't think Rozi was exactly prepared for the frigid weather she found in Chicago but she was a very good sport and went on about her business in our office. Outside the office, several of us took turns taking her out to dinner, where we got to know her better. She also experienced the sights of the big city one night and found that there was a tremendous amount of walking when you go downtown. |
| A visit to Chicago would not be complete without trying Chicago style pizza. On Rozi's last day here, we ordered lots of pizza with multitudes of fillings. Yummy! |
| We just put all the food on top of the filing cabinets and try to keep it confined to our own department. |
| The finance department has a reputation for having the most food in our department. |
| David wanted to make Rozi feel at home. |
| Of course Rozi also did some work while she was here. |
| She was a friend before she came. Now she can put faces with our names and voices. |
| I think Rozi enjoyed the "pizza experience." |
| Everyone else enjoyed it as well. |
