2010 and 2011, it's been a hot and dry summer with the temps most days in the 90's and even a few days in the 100's with little rain. It is challenging and a lot of hard work trying to keep the yard looking decent. |
| June, July, & Early August |

In the spring of 2010, I planted some bareroots that I ordered from Michigain Bulb: Russian sage and Daylilies. Everything has grown and multiplied. Notice the bee on the closeup of the stellas. |
On the right are two baby mimosas from the big one in the back yard. |
Since the yard is small and I have pretty much filled it with flowers, there is no room for a vegetable garden. However in 2010 I decided to try growing some tomatoes on the patio; then a small raised garden in the yard in 2011. They have done rather well. I have grape tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and celebreties. |

Planted two small crepe myrtles in 2010; they have grown some and bloom nicely in July and August. |

Petunias planted around the tree where the tulips bloom in the spring. Hanging basket of petunias near front door. |
