Pictures of Winter Scenes |

Our first snow of the 04-05 winter season was on 11/24/04. I came out of my shoulder therapy session to find my car and everything else covered in snow.

Traffic was crawling, barely moving at all so I had several chances to snap pictures with the handy camera I keep in my car.

The big wet snowflakes created some beautiful scenery.

Had to do a little shopping on the way home, so it was dark by the time I arrived at my house. Here you can see the huge flakes falling.

We had a couple more snowfalls with light accumulations in 2004. This was the first one of 2005 on Jan. 6. Left is looking through the kitchen sliding glass door at the deck. Below is the yard from the garage service door. My Silky terriers had no interest in going outside that day.

Above is the deck as seen from the kitchen door and right is the front of the house.

Neighbor Jim did a nice job of clearing our driveways and sidewalk with the snowblower. The village snow plow trucks haven't cleared the streets yet.

Above and right: Looking up and down the street in both directions.

December 7, 2005 Left - big snowflakes falling on the driveway. Below - back yard later that evening after snow had stopped falling

March 24, 2006 The snow during warmer temperatures (relatively speaking) paints a beautiful landscape laying softly on the trees but not on the roads. Left - large tree across the street

March 24, 2006 Part of my morning commute to work. "Whose woods these are I think I know, he will not see me stopping though, to watch his woods fill up with snow...................." Where have you heard that poem before?
